VFS-B2002 14K Victorian Etruscan Pin and Dangle Earring Set

Dramatic Etruscan gold work combined plenty of movement make this a special Victorian pin and earring set. The shepard hook earrings have a hinged top piece dropping to a larger section which frames a free swinging, faceted 12mm gold ball. The earrings measure 13/16” wide by 1 13/16” long and weigh 5.3 dwt (8.2 grams). The matching pin measures 1 1/16 x 2” and weighs 6.3 dwt (9.7 grams). Both have pierce work seed pearl accents beautiful bead and wire work and are in excellent condition. Unmarked, tested at least solid 14K. Circa 1880, certified to be as described and to be authentic antique jewelry.

#VFM - NB47 Victorian 14K Enamel Hair Padlock

Looking for the perfect padlock for a special Victorian bracelet? Look no further than this exceptional one, enameled in blue and fitted to the rear with a crystal covered locket compartment filled with woven dark blonde hair! Measuring 1” x 11/16”, it is completely hand chased with an ornate scroll design, which is than filled with the rich blue enamel. This padlock does not currently open, after fiddling with it a bit, we thought it best to leave as is – can be worn as a charm or a pendant, or have a jeweler unlatch it for you. No faults to the enamel or other wear to note. Unmarked, tested and guaranteed 14K, it weighs 2.3 dwt or 3.57 grams and is c. 1880.

#VFR-MM148 Engraved Victorian 18K Flower Ring

A pretty Victorian ring, with deeply engraved scrolled shoulders and set to the top with a pretty, 4mm milliflori white glass flower center against a black ground. The flower is mounted in a star setting on polished gold - simple, but lovely on! Marked 18ct along with an unknown maker's mark, it is currently a size 6 1/2, but can easily be re-sized. Perfect for everyday wear, the head measures 3/8" around and it is very comfortable on the hand. In excellent condition, circa 1900, certified to be as described and to be authentic antique jewelry.

#VFM-MM172 Victorian Gold Chatelaine Locket Mirror

A very cool miniature handheld mirror, hidden in a locket compartment and intended to hang from a Victorian chatelaine. Made from unmarked but tested 10-14K yellow gold (it may have a metal core, unable to tell without damaging the piece). The top is hand chased in a pretty foliate design, the back is plain. It measures 4” x 1 1/8” and weighs 11.7dwt or 18.1 grams. In overall very good condition, the mirror does have damage but can easily be replaced. The gold could use a bit of polish if you choose. Marked “Austin & Stone, Pat. Apld. For” as shown. c. 1900, certified to be as described and to be authentic antique jewelry.

#VFP-B2014 Fine Etruscan Mounted Micromosaic Bird of Paradise

This true Victorian micromosaic features a finely done, brightly plumed bird of paradise perched on a branch sprig of white flowers against a black background. Magnificently mounted in an Etruscan decorated 14K yellow gold frame. The back has a locket compartment with original glass and it is fitted with both a good pin mechanism and collapsible pendant bale. The mosaic measures 13/16” x 1 1/16”, total size with the frame is 1 1/8” x 1 3/8” and weighs 8.7 dwt (13.5 grams) of unmarked but tested 14k. In excellent, all original condition with no missing tesserae or other faults to note. Circa 1900, certified to be as described and to be authentic antique jewelry.

#VFP-MM131 Exquisite Victorian 14K Gem Tassel Locket Pin/Pendant

A lively 13mm faceted citrine or topaz gemstone with peach overtones is the centerpiece of this gorgeous Victorian pendant brooch. Framed in delicate Etruscan wirework, then a circle of bold, polished gold, it has a glass covered locket compartment in the back for hair or the picture of a loved one. A chatelaine or watch hook on the back holds a dangly removable ball and tassel decoration and a pendant bale and locking safety clasp (both are later) are fitted to the back. Able to be worn as a pendant or pin and with or without the tassel for a number of different looks! The overall measurement is 1 ½” around and the tassel is 1 ¾” long and it weighs 12.6 dwt (19.5 grams). In excellent condition, with no wear to note, circa 1880. Versatile Victorian fob locket has a deeply engraved tri color edge, moon and diamond star motif and high Eastlake design frame. The back has an ornate, beautifully hand engraved monogram and the fob opens to reveal a locket compartment. It measures 1” x 1 3/16” and is unmarked, but tested 14K rose gold. #VFP-B1984 18K Repousse Rose Diamond Mourning Locket - 1837

A fabulous deep repousse mourning locket! Applied rosettes, engraving and a black enamel center plaque surround a stunning flower made of rose cut diamonds make this piece special. The back hinged locket compartment has the original crystal covering a photo that appears to be original as well. Surrounding this is the inscription - “In Memory of Duncan MacDougall, Died 4 Oct. 1837 Aged 37”, making this beauty an amazing 170 years old! It measures 1 5/8” and weighs 8.6 dwt (13.3 grams). In amazing condition, with absolutely no flaws to note, it has a t-bar hinge, ‘c” clasp and extended pinstem (which appears to be a replacement). Unmarked, but tested and guaranteed 18K. Very good foliate decorated Victorian earrings, set with a center oval faceted genuine citrine that measures 6 x 8mm. The citrines are capped with engraved leaves, framed with intricate gold wirework and end in a ball dangle – even the balls are decorated with wirework! They measure 1 5/16” from the top of the shepherd hook wires and 5/8” across. They have locking backs and are unmarked, but tested and guaranteed 14K. Delicate pale cream, green and lavender translucent enamel leaves, accented with two small seed pearls, entwine a bezel set soft lilac amethyst to perfection! A fine example of Krementz quality, the bloomed 14K pin measures 1 9/16” long and 9/16” wide and weighs 2.2 dwt (3.4 grams). Very cool Arts & Crafts era brooch, done in 14K textured gold and featuring an engraved spider on a crescent moon. The head of the spider is a very high quality European cut diamond of about .05 points, the body a cushion cut, natural ruby of about 20 points. #NFN-B2042 14K Arts and Crafts Pearl and Amethyst Lavaliere Necklace

Tiny seed pearls are delicately strung (with gut string through gold honey comb - see pic of back) around an engraved leaf motif in this lovely Arts & Crafts era lavaliere. Set in the center is a bezel mounted 8mm round natural amethyst from which dangles a teardrop shape decorated with more wired pearls and leaves and a pear shape 5mm x 8mm amethyst at its center. Even the pendant bale is formed from a pair of engraved leaves! All done in unmarked but tested 14K yellow gold with a rich patina, it is 2 1/8” long from the top of the bale and ¾” wide. Unusual design, very romantic and quite lovely, it is in excellent condition, with no wear to note. Circa 1910, certified to be as described and to be authentic antique jewelry.

#DSP-B2028 Art Deco Fahrner Enamel Gemstone Brooch

Great design one comes to expect of Theodore Fahrner is found in this brooch of strong geometric shape and great contrasting colors of aqua enamel and purple amethyst. The natural, faceted amethyst measures 12mm square and is framed by enamel wings decorated with raised wire work and scattered marcasites. Done in gilt silver, it measures 2” x 11/16” and is fully hallmarked with a slightly worn Fahrner mark. It weighs 6.4 dwt (9.9 grams) and is fitted with a secure pinstem and early safety clasp. A giant 15x12mm vivid blue, natural sapphire cabachon is surrounded with a total of 10 carved 4x5mm genuine ruby leaves in this fantastic platinum ring. The prongs are tipped with bezel set .01 diamonds and in true Retro style, it is then accented with a carved, rose gold leaf and three .05 square cut diamonds on one side. Reminiscent of the glamour of old Hollywood, this is a showstopping, ring - the head measures 7/8" x 1 1/16"! Currently about a size 5, but easily resized, it is unmarked but tested and guaranteed solid platinum and weighs in at 9.4 dwt (14.6 grams). In excellent condition, with no wear to note, circa 1940. If like me you fell in love with penguins after seeing the “March of the Penguins” or the more recent “Happy Feet” movies, you will not be able to resist this guy! c. 1960, he is having what looks like a blast on old school skis, he is decorated with blue, red and green enamel with a glittering diamond eye. He measures 2”x 1/14” and weighs 11.1dwt. Fully hallmarked 14K, along with a maker’s mark of “JG”, he has a good safety clasp and is in excellent condition, with no wear to note. Black Pearl Gold Earrings

A lustrous row of post set, black sea pearls graduating from dark to light gray in color and ranging from 4.5mm to 4mm in size. Set in polished rose gold ending in a silver grey 6mm pearl – just lovely for the pearl aficionado. Fitted with original screw back findings, they are marked with an illegible maker’s mark. Each measures 15/16” long and 7/16” at widest part of the gold frame. They weigh 2.8 dwt. (4.3 grams) of tested 10/14K gold. Easy to wear and in excellent condition, the pearls are quite fine with good luster. Circa 1950, certified to be as described and to be authentic estate jewelry.

#VFR-MM147 Sentimental 15K Victorian Gemstone REGARD Ring

A fine example of a true Victorian acrostic ring, with genuine gems spelling out the sentiment "REGARD". Ruby, Emerald, Garnet, Amethyst, another Ruby and a Diamond. The gems are nice and vary in size from .04 to .10 points, they are prong set in tested 15K gold. In very good condition given the age, there is a period repair to one of the prongs. The gem is stable and it is not noticeable except on close exam, so we are leaving it as found. There is also wear to the engraving on the shank, but this just attests to it's age - it is NOT a reproduction but truly of the era. A wide, estate link bracelet, done in rich, 14K yellow gold that just feels amazing on the wrist and looks so elegant. It measures 7 ½” long x ½” wide and weighs 29.7 grams (19.1 dwt). In excellent condition, with no wear to note, it is hallmarked with the letter “B” along with what look like Austrian or Hungarian hallmarks.
