The high quality, bright white diamonds are old European cuts and are a perfect finishing touch. #9079 – Platinum, Diamond and Genuine Emerald Bracelet

A very fine Art Deco link bracelet with 35 flexible sections crafted from platinum and holding an array of fine gems. The bracelet starts out simply at the ends near the box clasp with typical box settings mounted with a single European cut diamond. These average 2.6 mm and total approximately 1.7 carats. The workmanship progressively becomes more elaborate with scrolls, fancy pierced work and millegraining until it ends at an amazing, natural green emerald that measures 5.9 mm. There are 34 fine single cut diamonds in these sections and they average 2 mm each to total over 1 carat. All eyes are drawn to glowing, bezel mounted emerald which is further accented by three small channel set emeralds to each side. This beauty measures 6 ¼” long (it is meant to be worn snugly) and weighs 10.6 dwt (16.5 grams) of unmarked but tested platinum. The emerald is very, very fine with exceptional clarity and weighs an estimated 1.5 carats. In very fine, original condition, with no faults to note, circa 1920. Certified to be as described and to be authentic antique jewelry.

#667 - 14K Tiffany & Co. Diamond Enamel Swiss Watch

Let's begin by saying this watch does NOT run and we are not certain what it will take to get it running. The hands are missing as well, but that should be an easy fix. That said, the case and dial were so gorgeous we could not resist it! The case is rich, red guilloche enamel over 14K gold, set with genuine rose cut diamonds in the form of a fleur de lis and surrounded with little gold fleur de lis - so pretty! The cobalt blue dial is marked "Tiffany & Co." in gold with gold numbers and markers. The case is marked "Swiss", "585" and a maker's mark. The crystal is in good shape. Aside from the aforementioned issues and a tiny chip to the enamel on the rim is ready for restoration or just put it on a chain and enjoy it as is

#ESP - B9100 Superb Art Deco French Paste Brooch

An exceptional French art deco paste pin crafted from sterling silver and depicting an elegant floral arrangement in a vase. The blooms are white paste around blue cabochon paste centers. Sparkling baguettes form the vase, and the whole thing is finished with dramatic black enamel accents. In overall exceptional condition given the early age, with the only fault some slight nicks to the enamel. A good example of an early Art Deco transitional piece, c. 1920, it is hallmarked with a diamond shape, “Made in France” and a stamped mark too tiny to make out – possibly the French boar’s head for silver, but could also be a maker’s mark.

#9077B – Platinum Filigree Diamond Ring

An exceptional example of the artistry of Edwardian filigree, done in platinum (even more difficult to execute due to the hardness of the metal) and set with a total of 15 full cut, European diamonds. #MM120 – 18K Genuine Ruby Opal Ring

A striking combination of colors are found in this 18K gold ring. For the ruby lover, there is a natural, untreated 8 mm x 6 mm bezel mounted ruby in a modified cushion cut. It is flanked to either side with fiery 6 mm round natural opals (solid opals, not doublets) with flashes of blue, red and neon green. The stones just pop against the rich color of the old yellow gold. The head of the ring measures 3/8” x ¾” and it is currently a sizeable 7. It weighs 3.1 dwt (4.9 grams) and is in very good condition, with the only fault some natural inclusions to the ruby (these are minor – the stone is very bright and clear for a ruby of this size) and some wear to a couple of the prongs holding the opals, but they are still quite secure. Unmarked, certified to be as described and to be authentic antique jewelry.

# RFR - B9020 Tailored 18K Bucherer Onyx Ring

Founded in 1888, the name Bucherer has always been synonymous with the highest quality, whether it is a fine antique watch or a timeless piece of jewelry like this striking onyx ring. Crafted from polished 18K yellow gold, the diamond shaped piece of polished black onyx is domed at the top, giving it an unsurpassable elegance on the hand. c. 1980, this would have cost a fortune new (think along the lines of Tiffany & Co. prices). In beautiful condition, with no wear to note, it measures 5/8” across and is a sizeable 7. Suitable for a man or a woman, I think. Marked Bucherer, Swiss and 18K, it weighs 4.5 dwt or 6.9 grams.

#VFP - B9103 14K Pietra Dura Pliny Doves

A beautifully rendered hardstone pietra dura depicting the classic “Pliny Doves” scene of four doves on a fountain, after the famous mosaic which dated from the 2nd century. The original was excavated at Hadrian’s Villa in Tivoli, in the 1730s, and acquired for the Capitoline Museum in the 1760s. It was at first believed to be the same mosaic that was described by the Roman philosopher Pliny, hence the name “Pliny Doves” or “Doves of Pliny”. The realization that the mosaic was made after Pliny's death, did not in the least diminish its status as a grand tour icon and the name also stuck for the design.

Anyway, back to the lovely brooch. The marble inlay work is wonderful, very well done with no faults, it truly looks like a little painting. The 14K yellow gold frame is delicate with scrolls and a bit of Etruscan beading, finished with natural seed pearls. It is unmarked, but tested and guaranteed at least 14K. It weighs 5.1 dwt or 7.93 grams and measures 1 ¼” and is fitted with a “c” clasp, extended pinstem and t-bar hinge. In beautiful, all original condition, as close to mint as I dare call anything this old, it is c. 1880. You will NOT be disappointed!

#VFL - B9106 18K Victorian Jeweled Snake Locket

A wonderful and quite romantic locket, with a exceptional engraving of a detailed entwined snake. Queen Victoria’s wedding ring was a snake, symbolizing eternal love, and after that, Victorians on both sides of the pond went a little snake crazy – snake rings, pins, earrings and lockets abounded and the tradition even carries on through today. This is a really good example, the locket is crafted from unmarked but tested 18K yellow gold and the snake has a small, genuine diamond set in the head with two genuine peridot for eyes. It opens to reveal the original beveled glass and frame. The back is engraved with the previous owner’s monogram as shown. It weighs 4.2 dwt or 6.5 grams and measures just over 1”. In excellent condition, with no wear to note, could use a spot of cleaning.

This is a big piece, measuring 2 3/8”x 2 ¾” and is fitted to the back with a “c” clasp, extended pinback and t-bar hinge. In overall very good condition, light wear to the painting (most notable in the fluffy rose tinted clouds under the elbow of the cherub) and an assorted small ding or two to the frame the only faults. c. 1875
