#B9094 - Glowing 15 Ct. Georgian Sapphire Ring
This is an exquisite Georgian ring, set with a center natural, mined blue sapphire of a little over ¼ carat, flanked to either side with natural pearls and ending in two more natural sapphires, each roughly 10 points. It measures 1/4" wide across the top and is currently a sizeable 6 ¼. In overall very good condition, the side sapphires are darker than the center one, which appears to be foil backed, this was common for the era because of the closed back mountings. One of the pearls is either a replacement or has aged differently than the other. Marked with all kinds of hallmarks, including a maker’s mark of the letter “A”, 15 for gold content, two that are unreadable and then the letter “T”. In excellent condition with some minor abrasions to the stones seen only under a loupe and a bit of thinning to the ornately engraved and chased gold shank. Certified to be as described and to be authentic antique jewelry.

#9067B - Ivory Coin Purse
A lovely old Victorian coin purse, crafted from ivory and leather and decorated with three hand painted pictorials of Roman buildings. Almost certainly a Grand Tour souvenir, the paintings are done on ivory, mounted under glass and are framed with gilt brass bezels. Lined in rich blue satin with multiple compartments, there is a slight hairline in the ivory to the right of the last building - it is stable and typical of old ivory. The only real fault is the case is separated at the back hinge - everything appears to be present, so should be able to be repaired, but is lovely as is as a display piece and there is no other damage to note. It measures 2 13/16" x 2", the largest center painting is 1 ¼" x 1 7/8" and the smaller ones are 13/16" x 9/16".
