#3509 - Unger Brothers Sterling Cherub Dolphin Brooch

A nice example of a classic Unger Brothers sterling brooch, this one depicting two chubby cherubs frolicking in the sea - one riding an ornate dolphin, the other blowing a sea shell horn. Measuring a nice sized 1 ¾", it is fitted to the back with a sturdy "c" clasp and t-bar hinge and extended pinback and weighs 8.4 dwt (13.1 grams). Fully hallmarked with the Unger Brothers mark, it is in overall good condition, with a shallow ding to the back under the pinstem and a very small ding to the side of one of the cherubs (this looks like just a shadow, but is mentioned for accuracy). A lovely piece, part of a typical Unger series, but for the life of me I can't remember which one! Certified to be as described and to be authentic antique jewelry.

#NSN-MM186 Striking Sterling Art & Crafts Enamel Lavaliere

A very fine example of American Arts & Crafts design, heavily influenced by the Egyptian Revival movement as well. A genuine, native turquoise cabochon, measuring 13 mm x 17 mm is the focal point, framed in softly shaded enamel of complimentary colors and finished with sterling daisies. Showy size at just a smidge under 2 ½” long to the top of the bale x 1 1/8” wide. Minor enamel wear viewed under magnification does nothing to distract from the drama of the piece. It would have had a typical tooth or Mississippi river pearl drop, looks fine as is, but easily added if you choose. Faintly marked “Sterling”, c. 1910, certified to be as described and to be authentic antique jewelry!

#NSN-MM136 Great Arts and Crafts English Enamel and Pink Gem Necklace

An exquisite English sterling Arts & Crafts era necklace, done in bright blue and green textured enamel with leaf accents and finished with a 6mm pink gemstone (untested, though appears to be a genuine stone, perhaps zircon?) drop. Even the clasp ring is enameled in blue – very cool! The look is pure Arts & Crafts and it is stamped (it looks like it was double struck) with a registration number dating it to 1909. The chain is 17”, the center is 1 ¼” at the widest by 2 1/8” long to the tip of the center dangle. In excellent condition, with no wear to note, just a very fine, very wearable antique necklace, equally at home worn with a pair of jeans or a holiday dress! Certified to be as described and to be authentic antique jewelry.
