#ODA-MM179 Silver Capped Genuine Sea Shell Object
Just a cool object, kind of big to be worn as a pendant, though you could I guess, but I think it would make a great fan pull! A natural seashell is capped at both ends with heavily engraved solid silver Middle Eastern decorations specifically formed for this particular shell. It measures 4 ¼” x 1 ½” and is rather a showy thing. In excellent condition, with no wear to note, looks older than it is, guessing it is from the 80’s. Just liked it, thought you might, too!

#O-MM164 Blackinton Egytian Revival Sterling Silver Purse
I just fell in love with this great solid sterling purse from Blackinton & Co.! Engraved to either side with lotus flowers and winged scarabs – it does not get any more evocative of the Egyptian Revival period than this! Measuring 4” x 3” x 1” deep, it weighs a whopping 66.2 dwt (102.9 grams) and is fully hallmarked sterling as well as with the mark for Blackinton & Co. In good antique condition, it has the original silver chain, the clasp works and the hinge is tight, but note it has been well loved as there is softening to the engraving and the assorted shallow ding or two. Still a great example in a pretty rare motif and what a great look for a night out! c. 1900, certified to be as described.

#ODA-B2098 – Napier Sterling Silver Deco Bird Toothpick Holder
A fun and unique sterling Art Deco object – a big bird – maybe an emu? Gilded and studded with holes, it was probably originally intended as a toothpick holder, but would be a great way to display a stickpin collection as well. It measures 3 ½” x 3 ¼” and is fully hallmarked “Napier Sterling”. The Napier company is better known today for it’s costume jewelry line, but it was originally founded in 1875 as “Whitney & Rice” a manufacturer of silver products. It went through a number of different incarnations, until James Napier became president in 1920 - the company was then named for him in 1922 and began to shift it’s focus from objects to jewelry. The Art Deco look of this bird reflects the modern and simple designs Napier was and continues to be known for. It is in excellent condition, with no wear to note and is circa 1925. Certified to be as described.
