#ODA-MM157 – Heart Shaped Sterling Bookmark – Five Cherubs

This lovely bookmark is decorated with a popular motif from the turn of the century - 5 cherub faces in the clouds. Done in sterling, it measures 3” x 15/16” and is marked simply “Sterling”. In excellent condition, with no wear to note – however, someone did lacquer at some point to keep it from tarnishing. You could boil it to remove the lacquer if you choose, we decided to leave it as found. Lovely addition if you collect this design or a sweet, yet useful antique gift!

#ODAV-1963 14K Sterling Sapphire Tiffany & Co. Lipstick Case

This mid-century ribbed lipstick case from Tiffany & Co. is done in sterling and decorated with a puffy 14K yellow gold bow set to the center with 3 calibre cut genuine blue sapphires. For some reason the sapphires are not showing up well in the pictures, but they are indeed there! Tiffany quality is evident throughout and it measures 2” tall by 11/16” around. #ODA-MM179 Silver Capped Genuine Sea Shell Object

Just a cool object, kind of big to be worn as a pendant, though you could I guess, but I think it would make a great fan pull! A natural seashell is capped at both ends with heavily engraved solid silver Middle Eastern decorations specifically formed for this particular shell. It measures 4 ¼” x 1 ½” and is rather a showy thing. In excellent condition, with no wear to note, looks older than it is, guessing it is from the 80’s. Just liked it, thought you might, too!

#ODX-MM184 Cherub & Wishbone
Udall & Ballou Sterling Notepad

Winged cherubs tugging on a wish bone is the whimsical scene adorning this ornate shield shaped notepad. Further decorated with a scroll and foliate repousse top, the back is plain, polished silver. The pad slides open to reveal 6 thin ivory or celluloid pages. It measures 3” to the top of the bale x 1 ¾” wide and was intended for a chatelaine, but would make a wonderful pendant as well. Fully hallmarked sterling, as well as “Udall & Ballou” (New York, NY 1888-1940’s). #O-MM164 Blackinton Egytian Revival Sterling Silver Purse

I just fell in love with this great solid sterling purse from Blackinton & Co.! Engraved to either side with lotus flowers and winged scarabs – it does not get any more evocative of the Egyptian Revival period than this! Measuring 4” x 3” x 1” deep, it weighs a whopping 66.2 dwt (102.9 grams) and is fully hallmarked sterling as well as with the mark for Blackinton & Co. In good antique condition, it has the original silver chain, the clasp works and the hinge is tight, but note it has been well loved as there is softening to the engraving and the assorted shallow ding or two. Still a great example in a pretty rare motif and what a great look for a night out! c. 1900, certified to be as described.
