#MM143 - Rebajes Copper Fleur de Lis Brooch
A cool brooch marked Rebajes, for Francisco Rebajes, the noted Dominican artist who began crafting jewelry in copper and silver in the 40’s. A wonderful and rather bittersweet article on Francisco, written by his niece, can be found on Marbeth Schon’s “Modern Silver” site HERE. The brooch measures 2 ½” x 2” and is set to the back with a silver soldered safety clasp. Fully Marked Rebajes, it is set to the top with two riveted fleur de lis. In excellent condition, with no wear to note with a soft, rich patina. Certified to be as described and to be authentic antique jewelry.

#MM133 – Fun Giant Lucite Angry Rooster Brooch
This is a great old lucite rooster brooch, back carved and painted in bright red and yellow, he measures 3 ¼” x 3” and is fitted with a set in pinback. In very good vintage condition, with no chips or cracks, just some minor paint loss - great for the plastics collector. A gorgeous, realistic looking carved ivory Athyrium, dyed bright red and finished with a glowing genuine 6 mm pearl. Athyriums are so romantic with their natural heart shape! #RCP-MM180 Alfred Philippe Trifari Sapphire Jelly Belly Turtle w/ Flowers Pin
A favorite Phillipe design of mine - a whimsical jeweled gilt turtle bearing a bouquet of jeweled flowers. Who could he possibly be bringing them to? A love? Home to decorate his house? I guess we will never know what Alfred was thinking with this one, but it never fails to make me smile. Not a true jelly belly, but trifari.com calls it one, so I figured I could take liberties, too : ) - a big domed faux sapphire cabochon is set in the center of his shell and his legs, head and tail are encrusted with shimmering rhinestones and he is finished with a red cabochon eye. Marked with the “Crown T” Trifari and copyright marks, pictured on page 109 of Shiffer’s “Best of Costume Jewelry”. Measures 2” x 1 5/8” and fitted with a safety clasp, it is in all original condition with NO faults – just a slight discoloration to a couple of the stones on the head. c. post-1955 based on the mark, certified to be as described and to be authentic estate jewelry.
